You’ll rarely see fig and cinnamon chutneys or preserves in the UK, but it’s a classic of Middle Eastern cuisine. We use the word ‘rich’ for our recipe because this chutney has a very mouth-filling flavour as well as being a bit exotic. It tastes wonderful with cold meats, cheeses and has enough ‘oomph’ to work well with game.
Ingredients: Onion, Fig, Acetic Acid, Raisins, Garlic, Cinnamon, Salt.
